Fees and Payment Policies (private studio only)

Payment must be made on the first lesson of each month for the number of lessons your child plans to take within that month. If a lesson will be missed, you will not have to pay for that lesson if proper notification is given.

(See Absences & Makeups to learn how to go about making-up missed lessons).

When lessons are paid for at the beginning of the month, your appointment time is reserved for you each week at the same time for that month. The monthly lesson fee will be determined by the amount of time spent in each lesson, by the number of lessons you plan to take that month (usually 4-5 days per month), and the location of the lesson.

Lessons at my house are $25.00 for thirty-minute lessons, and $50.00 for one-hour lessons.  If I come to your child's school, a travel fee may be added in, so please ask if this will apply to you.

If you are interested in group lessons, chamber ensemble lessons, or master classes, ask me for details and rates. You may pay by cash, check, Venmo, or PayPal (select friends & family option if using Paypal). Please write checks to Christy Foster and put the student's name, month, & dates you are paying for in the memo line of your check. Thank-you!

Late Payment & Travel Fee

A $5.00 Late Fee will be added to your monthly lesson fee if not paid by the second lesson you have reserved with me.   If your lesson fee is not paid by the second lesson, I will no longer teach lessons to the student until the bill has been caught up.  Please talk to me before your monthly lesson fee is due, if you need to make other payment arrangements for a particular month. I will try to work with you and your payday schedules if you’re not able to pay on the first week of each month.

A Travel Fee may be added if I have to drive to your school to teach lessons rather than you driving to my house or ORU studio. (I do not teach lessons at student’s individual homes-this is primarily stated for the occasions I have taught lessons in the public schools). Please ask when signing up for lessons if this will apply to you.
