Fees and Payment Policies
Lesson Fee:
To ensure a consistent weekly lesson schedule, I require a Monthly Lesson Fee, which is due during the first week of each month. To maintain your appointed lesson time, please ensure timely payment. Thank you for your cooperation!

How to Pay:
Lesson payments are accepted in cash, by check, or via Venmo. Please make checks payable to Christy Foster and include the student’s name in the memo line. If paying through Venmo, please select the “Friends and Family” option rather than “Goods & Services” to avoid transaction fees. My Venmo is @saxnclarinetlady.
Holiday Breaks:
When lessons are paid for at the beginning of the month, your appointment time is reserved for you each week in that month, except for the holidays listed in the Music Lesson Policy, in which case, LESSONS ARE CANCELLED on these dates, and will not be made up. Please enjoy your time off.
Travel Fee:
An additional fee may be charged if I need to meet a student at their school for lessons instead of meeting at my home studio. If you are unsure whether this fee applies to you, please inquire when enrolling in private lessons. I do not teach lessons at student’s homes.
Make-up lessons:
May be offered if I need to cancel a student’s regularly scheduled lesson due to my rehearsal schedule, illness, or another unforeseen circumstance. No make-up lessons are offered to students unless I’ve been given 24 hours notice of your absence (this includes sick days). Students may swap lesson times with another student of mine during the week of a missed lesson as long as I am made aware of the exchange before the missed lesson day. However, I will not be responsible for making those exchanges. You must reach out to the other students parent and then both confirm with me by a text message to me from both students (or parents) of the agreed upon exchange. All lesson time exchanges must be approved by Christy Foster and scheduled at a mutually agreed-upon time and location, provided that required lesson fees have been paid in full by both students wishing to make an exchange.
Snow Day/Weather Issues/Sick Day:
If school is canceled for snow, or you need to stay home due to the bad weather conditions or feel an illness coming on, I can offer a FaceTime call if you’d like a lesson that day but can’t get to my home studio.
*FaceTime lessons: are offered for any reason you need them, I would prefer to know in advance if you would like to use this option so that I can set up things to teach virtually.
To Discontinue Lessons:
Please let me know on or before your last paid lesson day that it is your final lesson so I can offer your time slot to new students. There will be no reimbursement for canceled or missed lessons when you discontinue lessons.
